Tv-movie Fake, a romcom about an art heist, co-written with Jan Harm Dekker, aired in 2016.

In 2017 Bert wrapped work on feature film De Veroordeling (The Judgement), based on the bestseller by investigative journalist Bas Haan about trial by media in a murder case that shocked the nation, writing together with director Sander Burger, again for BIND.

Due to Covid-related delays it premiered on 2 September 2021 in The Netherlands, having already picked up six awards at the Seattle Film Festival, among which Best Feature and Best Adapted Screenplay. At the Golden Calf Competition 2021 it garnered 11 nominations for a Golden Calf from the Dutch Academy for Film, winning 4: Best Leading Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay and Best Film.
